One of the many great things about Walt Disney World, is the variety of food options. If you have kids that love characters, then one option you may find is all the character dining options. These are usually a great opportunity to see a good deal of characters and not have to wait in line. But it does cost more than your standard sit down meal.
One of those restaurants that offer this, is the Garden Grill. Ultimately one of our favorite meals with kids.

The Garden Grill is located inside of the Land Pavillion at EPCOT. If you go all the way to the back, you will see it just before you go down the escalator or stairs to Soarin' around the World. At first, it may seem like a small restaurant, but if you stand and look for a few minutes, you may realize... this restaurant MOVES! That's right. It is a moving restaurant. The floor slowly rotates through out the meal. The meal is perfectly timed so that by the time you are done, you have almost completely gone around the whole circle. The scenery for this ride is the scenery to Living with the Land. If you have ridden Living with the Land, you can see the restaurant above you. I think this makes the restaurant very unique. The scenery changes about every 10 minutes or so.
The food here is served family style, so you get one meal for everyone at the table and share it amongst yourselves. When we went, they only served Lunch and Dinner, but I believe they have started doing breakfast again. When we went, they were serving a turkey dinner. Turkey and pork, potatoes, rolls, salad, and they do cater to special diets. All the produce is grown on Disney property, so it makes this super fresh.I went here twice, once while I was gluten free, and once while on a regular diet. I will say that even the gluten free food, which was the rolls and the dessert, was very good, and you still got a good sized portion of food.
The characters that you meet here, include Farmer Mickey, Dale, Chip and Pluto. When we went, the characters were still distancing due to COVID-19, so they met us behind the seats. We couldn't get hugs, but my almost 2 year old at the time, loved blowing them kisses and still enjoyed seeing them say hi. You also get a signed post card when you leave with their signatures on it. It might be different now, but it is still fun to see the characters and not have to wait in a long line.
It is a great place to get inside and have a good meal, sit and meat some characters. It is also inside the Land Pavillion which means you can leave your lunch and then go ride a ride without having to step outside!
The price tag can be up to $60 a person, so it is pretty hefty, but if you feel it is worth seeing the characters and having good food, then put Garden Grill on your list. We ate here and knew we had to put this on our, return here list.
If character dining is for you and you want to try some good fresh food, I would definitely recommend this one.
